Ford Turbocharged Focus ST

For several years, the Ford has been producing the Ford RS to car buyers in Europe. What's the Ford RS you ask? It happens to be the high performance version of Fords Focus sedan. Now, the American auto maker is bringing a turbocharged Ford Focus to the United States, based on its "global platform" that will roll out in 2012.

This "fast and flashy" Focus ST will be available in every major automotive market?

Ford EcoBoost V6 and V8

Just a few years ago, many different sized vehicles came with options to have a V8 engine under their hoods. Today, the V6 is king - and if you want V8 like power you'll probably end up with a turbocharged engine.

Ford's new EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6, which has been engineered for light-duty trucks, delivers 365 horsepower and 420-pounds feet of torque. That's as high as any V-8.

Ford to Enhance Super Duty Pickup

Ford has plans to bulk up their already powerful Super Duty pickup trucks. The American auto maker is adding 65 pound-feet of torque and 10 horsepower to the new 6.7-liter diesel engine.

Ford Chief Engineer Chris Brewer said Ford was already working on the technology necessary to boost the Super Duty's numbers but doesn't deny that it's also a response to the competition.

Ford Edge Gets Higher Horsepower

2011's Ford Edge has been rated the number one in fuel economy in its class. That is almost unheard of, especially from an American auto maker, when all the Japanese companies are producing hybrid and other fuel efficient cars.

The new 2011 Ford Edge has a top in its class MPG rating and also gets an increase of 40 horsepower. That brings it up to 305 hp with its 3.7 liter V6 engine…
