Customer Review

***OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!*** My experience with purchasing an automobile in the past resulted in my walking into Freedom Ford anticipating a negative experience. It was in fact the complete opposite. Norm Marable and Terrence Gregory were courteous, professional and went out of their way to address all my concerns regarding the vehicle I was interested in. Steve Heishman and Sang Han also helped answer my questions and even saved me a trip to the bank (which I greatly appreciated due to the inclement weather that day). When it came to the financing, Larry Cope was just as helpful and made the "paperwork side" of this transaction easy and that afternoon I was admiring my new Ford F-350 in MY driveway. If these five individuals are an indication of how all this organization's employees conduct business then I would like to applaud the leadership/management at Freedom Ford. You guys are doing it right!Thank You.Best Regards,Mark

Blue Angels Ford Mustang

Earlier this month we showed you the one-off Blue Angels Mustang built by Ford for this year's EAA AirVenture. The car features a unique blue chrome paint scheme and hand-painted graphics done by Creations n' Chrome, along with plenty of Ford Racing Performance Parts goodies, an interior styled after the Blue Angels pilot suit, and beautiful HRE 590RS wheels.

The Blue Angels Mustang was not only built to celebrate 100 years of U.S. Naval aviation, but to raise money for the EAA Young Eagles program as well. It did just that at the EAA charity auction Thursday evening, commanding a high bid of $400,000. In addition to the car, the winning bidder also received a Blue Angels flight helmet signed by all of the current pilots.

You can read more about the car and the auction in Ford's PR after the jump, or browse through our photos of the car in the gallery below.

Ford Sync

With Ford stepping up to become the first automaker to support the Safe Drivers Act of 2011, the Blue Oval is putting its money where its mouth is by dropping the price of its Sync system from $395 to $295.

The updated pricing will extend first to the 2012 Explorer and Edge, and will be available on all trim levels of the Edge, with the SEL, Limited and Sport models coming standard with the system and the SE now available with Sync as an option. The pricing will later extend to the 2013 Escape, Flex, Focus and Taurus.

In addition to the standard infotainment and navigation functions, Ford is touting the hands-free capabilities of Sync as a safety feature, along with 911 Assist and the Sync Services subscription plan which includes turn-by-turn directions, traffic reports and business searches, all of which can be performed without ever taking your eyes off the road.

Ford plans to make Sync and the new pricing strategy available on every North American model by 2014, and expect a host of upgrades and refinements to happen in the process. Hit the jump for the full details.
