The Chevrolet Volt and LEAF have owned the electronic car market for the past year but today is the day when the LEAF and the Volt have another competitor on their radar: The 2012 Ford Focus EV.  Having made its debut at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, it's expected to hit dealerships in late 2011.

One of the most popular SUV's for the past decade, the Ford Explorer, has won a slew of awards over the years. A new award has now been reached for the American auto maker's SUV. 2011's Ford Explorer has been named the North American Truck of the Year by a panel of automotive journalists.

Under the award voting point system, Explorer scored an amazing 253 points. The other two SUV's from Chrysler scores 138 and 99 respectively.
